Toolkit: Mental Health And Race In The Workplace

There has been a welcome outpouring of support and commitment to action from businesses to support their people who are Black or from a Minority Ethnic background.

Toolkit: Mental Health And Race In The Workplace 1

To help businesses continue to build on their commitment, the City Mental Health Alliance (CMHA) has created the Mental Health and Race Toolkit.

This Toolkit has been created in collaboration with mental health and inclusion experts, as well as CMHA member businesses, including Goldman Sachs, Hogan Lovells, Lloyds Bank, PwC and Oliver Wyman. It shares practical guidance for how businesses can build mentally healthy workplaces that promote a sense of belonging for their people, whatever their background or race.

The toolkit outlines four strategic actions

  1. Allocate Board level responsibility.
  2. Challenge all forms of racism in the workplace.
  3. Build an inclusive and representative workplace health and wellbeing system.
  4. Measure progress and collect data.
