Survey: Benefits and Trends Survey January 2018

There is an evolving approach to benefits programmes, as organisations balance cost considerations and a changing regulatory environment with the need to increase employee engagement and retention, this Aon Employee Benefits survey finds.

Benefits and Trends Survey 2018 1

Key findings:

  • Employee engagement remained the top objective for an online/flex scheme, but the second highest objective is now retention, up to 71 per cent from 67 per cent in 2016.
  • The top three benefits offered on a flex scheme were: childcare vouchers, pension schemes and private medical insurance (PMI).
  • Over the past five years, 43 per cent of respondents have introduction limits on a PMI scheme.
  • More than half of respondents believe it is extremely important to increase employee understanding and engagement with their benefits and retirement savings, up from 26 per cent in 2016.

Aon’s report guides you through the key findings of the survey and offers expert analysis of what the results mean for the industry as a whole, and for your own benefits strategy.
