Research: UK Pay Experience Report

Data revealed by global human capital management company Ceridian's latest UK Pay Experience Report contains sobering statistics about the extent to which workers are worried about their incomes.

The report, which explores what UK employees really think about their compensation and payroll experiences, finds a sizeable 42% of workers describe themselves as feeling ‘moderately’, ‘very’ or ‘extremely stressed’ about pay and money issues on a regular basis.

In addition to this, is also finds significant transparency and fairness concerns exist. The report reveals only 26% of workers admit they are completely satisfied when it comes to transparency of information about their pay, while just 31% of employees strongly agree to being paid fairly based on industry standards.

It also finds:

  • Only 19% of workers say they are completely satisfied with their compensation
  • Just 34% believe their employer does not care about their financial wellbeing
  • Only 18% believe their employer cares ‘very much’ about their financial wellbeing
