Moments that matter: Nurturing mental wellbeing throughout the changing employee experience

As places of work open up, automation and digitisation of businesses increase, and different patterns of working emerge, new stresses and pressures are impacting the employee experience, in particular mental wellbeing. This period of transition means business leaders and employees will have to navigate adaptive behaviour shifts while preserving psychological safety and good mental wellbeing.

To achieve this, there will be key moments in the employee life journey that make a very big difference to the employee experience and mental wellbeing of workers. In this webinar, our panel will discuss what these moments that matter are, and the actions employers can take to reshape their wellbeing strategies and policies to meet the shifting needs and behaviours of their workforces.

Key issues to be explored

  • What are the new workforce stresses and pressures that are arising due the workplace/business transitions we are going through?
  • What behaviour shifts, due to these transitions, could be difficult for some/all employees and impact psychological safety and mental wellbeing?
  • Which are the key moments in the employee life journey that can impact on the employee experience and mental wellbeing (eg: new joiners, pre-retirement, return from maternity)?
  • Which key moments should be handled differently now compared to the old ways of working?
  • What practical actions can employers take to reshape their wellbeing strategies and policies to meet the shifting needs and behaviours of their workforces?

The panel includes:

  • Chaired by REBA's Co-founder and Director, Debi O'Donovan
  • Gareth Mullen, Head of Safety, Health & Wellbeing (Policy & Systems), Thames Water
  • Lawrence Webb, Group SHE Strategy Director, Costain Group PLC
  • Dr Nick Taylor, Co-founder & CEO, Unmind
