Video tutorial: Hargreaves Lansdown's Alastair Stuart-Hunt on financial wellness for high earners

Alastair Stuart-Hunt, Client Relationship Manager at Hargreaves Lansdown looks at the intended, and unintended consequences of the changes to tapered Annual Allowances and potential solutions for organisations.

Stuart-Hunt said in his Reba Innovation Day 2019 speech that one of the main issues with the tapered annual allowance was whether those subject to this limit are still saving enough for retirement and what can organisations do to ensure their employess are comfortable when they retire.

"We need to be thinking are these individuals going to be able to sustain their lifestyles in retirement. I imagine its actually going to be quite a hard landing for some of these individuals. And can we assume that they have financial advisors helping them or do they need futher support?," he said.
