Member poll: how do you deal with Corporate Manslaughter rules for staff on car allowances?

Can you help a member of REBA?

He is a global reward director at a large multinational and is trying to understand how other employers deal with the Corporate Manslaughter regulations.

In particualr, how they relate to people driving on company business and especially those who receive a company car or allowance.

He is considering simplying the process he currently uses, and moving away from using a leasing provider because of the complexity.

Tell him what you do at your organisation via our survey here (your details will be kep confidential).

So he'd like to know if other employers:

  • Do nothing
  • Check drivers' licences
  • Check valid MOT
  • Check valid business insurance

He'd also like to know:

  • How do empoyers conduct the check (for example: manual check, employee signed declaration, independent 3rd party)?
  • How often do they review checks (on hire only, annually, less often)?
  • What is their approach if somebody does not pass all checks (especially those eligible for company car)?

Please help him. Fill in short survey here
