How Nobia UK engaged 90% of its employees through a new reward and recognition scheme

Nobia UK forms part of Europe’s leading kitchen specialist, with a number of big names under the UK brand including Magnet, Gower and Rixonway. Over the last 20 years, Nobia has built a strong reputation and now has over 3,000 valuable employees spanning across their UK-wide network.

Offering extra
With key employee engagement needs and requirements, Nobia UK came to peoplevalue with a mission. They wanted to offer their employees something extra, something that would help them attract the best talent to their business and keep them motivated and engaged once on board. At the same time, they wanted to recognise colleagues who do more than simply their job – those that go the extra mile. By consolidating both our advantage and ereward platforms, we provided the perfect solution. 

Initially, the scheme focused on the delivery of employee benefits through advantage, which also had the added value of wellbeing features via the zone. Once this was successfully set up and engagement levels had been built, we implemented their reward and recognition scheme through our ereward platform. 

Advantage and reward 
Fully branded and user-friendly, Nobia Advantage and Nobia Reward allow employees to access a range of discounts and cash back opportunities, recognise colleagues for ‘Making a Difference’ and ‘Going the Extra Mile’, as well as utilise a comprehensive library of wellbeing resources. 

There are also added features that make their scheme more beneficial. Nobia Advantage, as well featuring a comprehensive range of discounts, also includes important information about other Nobia UK pay and benefits. For example, through the platform, employees can access the HR Self Service portal and access their pay slips. 

Social wall 
Nobia Reward has an interactive social wall where all employees’ acts of recognition are visible company-wide, and everyone has the freedom to like, comment and share. Employees earn reward points through this ‘live in the moment’ recognition scheme, as well as for Long Service Awards, one off awards, a recommend a friend scheme and company sales campaigns and incentives. These points can be redeemed through an extensive reward catalogue which contains over 25,000 different products. 

The result
The scheme has been a huge success with Nobia UK employees. Over 90 per cent of colleagues are actively engaged and logging into the hub regularly.
